Neurotechnology for brain health
Making the working brain visible.
Omneuron develops non-invasive technology for observing and influencing the functioning of the brain, using methods based on magnetic resonance imaging.
Overview
We build tools that let patients, physicians, researchers and study participants see the functioning of the brain — and, increasingly, learn to change it.
Approach
Non-invasive
Nothing is implanted and nothing is introduced. Our work builds on imaging methods already established in clinical and research settings.
Grounded in MRI
Magnetic resonance imaging is among the most capable ways to observe the living brain. We work on what can be drawn out of it, as it happens.
Research first
Methods are developed with clinicians and academic collaborators, and evaluated through structured study rather than assertion.
Company
Omneuron is a neurotechnology company working where functional brain imaging, clinical medicine and human self-regulation meet. We are interested in a narrow question with a wide reach: what becomes possible when a person can see their own brain at work.
The company was founded by Dr. Christopher deCharms, whose work on real-time functional brain imaging has been published in the peer-reviewed literature and presented on the TED stage.
